Aside from the enormous revenues, motion pictures have a very high
influencing factor on fashion, trends, and political persuasion
(rightly or wrongly). Motion pictures last long after the magazines
and newspapers expire. The life of a motion picture can be timeless.
Cast your mind on some of the great classics such as 'Citizen Kane',
'Casablanca', 'Gone with the Wind', and 'The Godfather'. Others
such as 'Star Wars', 'Raiders of the Lost Ark', 'The Titanic', and 'The
Lord of the Rings' reaped phenomenal profits and earned a place as
some of the best movies ever made.
